I downloaded Gameloft's Asphalt 9 game from play store coz I was given a code to redeem free stuff, but on launching the game was unable to get any further than the Gameloft screen.I tried everything, I reinstalled, enabled permissions before launching, cleared app data, restarted device & amp tried to Google a solution (which is the reason I'm writing my solution here), I found many results of ppl experiencing the same issue & amp most were Xiaomi there were others like a Samsung S8 & amp a Pixel 2 user, but none of them had a solution for me.So I turned on my analytical brain (I'm a customer care/technician for my local ISP), and thought that it's probably a verification issue of some kind coz it won't start without an internet connection so I did the following:1) Cleared app data (it's the same as reinstalling)2) Enabled all permissions & amp allowed unrestricted data & amp battery usage on the game & amp all google services before launching.3) Then completely ignored the Asphalt icon on my home screen then launched from Google Play Games app.4) That didn't work so I launched from Google Play Store.5) I waited a half a minute now suddenly I'm staring at the back of some sports car with Asphalt 9 written below it.6) Then I run into a new problem, it asks me for my age & gender then to hit accept.7) I input my age noting that my keyboard is acting a little weird but not thinking much of it, but now it won't register touch on the screen.8) I closed the game, cleared recent apps fully believing that when I lauch the game again it's going to be back to square 1 but it's actually now working without issue.I have now played the game for roughly an hour, found that most of the controls are crap & chose to use the 2nd of the 3 control layouts & give the game a chance before I uninstall it.I hope the solution above works for everyone.In short, even though Gameloft had promised a less grindy experience prior to launching A9, farming Credits, Tokens, Reputation Points, and other currencies continues to be of the main in-game activities for most F2P players looking to improve their garages.
